Libations for Everyone





With summer in full swing, socializing is at an all time high. And, with this new healthier diet, I was looking for some low calorie beverages that I could enjoy without sacrificing a whole day of calories. So, to pinterest I went, and here is what I found:

Gin and Tonic:
1 1/2-ounces of London Dry Gin, 1/2-ounce of fresh lime juice, 5- ounces diet tonic water. Fill highball glass with ice. Add Gin, Pour squeezed lime juice over the top. Top off with diet tonic water.
Around 107 calories

Mojito:
1 1/2 White Rum, 1 ounce squeezed lime juice, 8 mint leaves, 1 tbsp sugar or sugar substitute. Low sodium club soda. Put Mint, lime juice, and sweetener in glass, and muddle. Fill glass 3/4 full with ice. Add rum, top with club soda and stir.
Around 103 calories

White Wine Spritzer:
3 ounces Dry White Wine, 3 ounces diet ginger beer, Diet fruit juice, pour wine into tall glass. Add ginger beer, and top off with diet fruit juice.
Around 97 calories

Vodka and Diet Ginger Beer:
1 1/2 ounces Vanilla Vodka, 3 ounces diet ginger beer, 1 lime wedge. Fill glass with ice, add Vodka, and top with diet ginger beer.
Around 100 calories

if you are not into all the foofoo drinks red wine, light beer and champagne also come to mind and flutter around 100 calories. Life is meant to be enjoy! So go enjoy these beautiful summer nights with a drink.
